Traditional Butchers and Graziers since 1800, Philip Warren are Butchers & Graziers which means not only do they age and cut the meat they also farm the livestock to produce the meat. As well as having their own progressive and vibrant retail business, they are also fortunate enough to have built strong relationships with a great network of chefs throughout the country, many with Michelin stars to their name. Their heritage means that they are keen to ensure sourcing and supply chain keeps to the same ideals that they foster with their customers. Having a local, reliable labelling partner makes sense.

The environment that their products are kept in makes it complicated for packaging and labels. Labels are applied to often damp packages and kept in fridges and freezers. The adhesives are critical. We use thermal printers to add specific weights and dates but need to make sure our colour printed branding remains premium even after being in a fridge or freezer. We went through extensive testing with different varnishes, inks and adhesives to find the right combination that worked for their environment and application conditions.
